On March 9th we were thrilled and honored to present a big (both literally and figuratively) check to local nonprofit Reading Results at SEMpdx’s annual Engage conference. As we’ve written about before, LegalRev has formed a friendly bond with Reading Results over the last year while we’ve had the privilege of working closely with them as SEMpdx’s Charity of Choice.
Contributing to Great Work
Reading Results is a Portland nonprofit providing literacy tutoring services to underserved students. Kids who aren’t reading apace with their peers by the third grade are 13 times less likely to graduate high school. This organization meets students where they already are — in school. Over the course of the school year, kids work in small groups or one-on-one with retired teachers and qualified parents to improve reading comprehension, speed and accuracy.
Moving the Needle
In order to help Reading Results expand awareness and reach, LegalRev built them a new website optimized for their needs, as well as engaging in fundraising efforts. Our team at LegalRev has personally donated over $500 to Reading Results over the last few months, which covers a full year of tutoring for one student.
In total, our partnership has raised over $2,000 for our favorite organization. We hope you’ll join us in donating to this life-changing nonprofit.
