As you know, creating and maintaining a website for your law firm is a great way to present your services to potential clients. Making sure your website is search-engine-friendly will encourage Google’s algorithm to boost your search ranking position, making your website visible to a broader audience of potential clients. If you haven’t updated your website in a while, now’s a great time to do a quick “health check” to ensure you are getting the most out of your website. Here are three simple tips to maximizing your website’s impact on attracting potential clients.

1. Integrate CTA Buttons

Ultimately, your goal is to have your website visitors contact you and schedule an appointment. Make sure you include a few call to action (CTA) buttons on the home page and across your practice area pages to streamline this process for your potential clients. You want to make sure that they can easily reach you as soon as they read something they like; all they have to do is call your office using the number you provide or click on a link to schedule an appointment. However, avoid bombarding website visitors with calls to action at every turn—find organic and strategic places to integrate these CTAs as you see fit.

2. Include Links to Social Media

Social media for law firms is becoming increasingly important, as people are spending an average of two hours per day on these various platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.). If your law firm already has a social media marketing strategy in place, make sure you provide links to these platforms on your website. Your website visitors can click on a link and read your LinkedIn profile or visit your Facebook page to read about a recent professional accomplishment or community event you attended. Clients want to know who they will be working with, and these links will provide a more comprehensive picture of your services and values.

3. Keep Your Attorney Biographies Current

When clients are looking for an attorney, they look at a lawyer’s legal experience and personal character. Attorney biographies are a great way to present yourself to your clients, providing both your career highlights and your personality. Clients want to get a sense of who you are—are you involved in your local community? Do you volunteer? What activities do you do on the weekends? Showcasing your interests and values is the best way for potential clients to understand who they will be working with if they select your services. Finally, make sure to update your biography as your life changes. Celebrate professional accomplishments by adding them to your bio as they occur.
